Payment
Evaluations
Evaluations are not covered by insurance. Cost is shared according to the appointment order. Julia requires a $5,000 retainer to start a social investigation and a $2,500 retainer for a narrow-scope evaluation. It is likely that the costs will exceed the retainer. Court fees, if any, are paid separately prior to hearing or trial.
Mediations
Private mediations are billed at $150/hour with a 2-hour minimum.
Therapy
Most clients use their health insurance to pay for therapy. Julia accepts major private insurance plans and Tricare via I-BOS Counseling Center. She cannot bill Medicaid or Medicare. Use of your insurance requires a mental-health diagnosis, which can create a pre-existing condition. For clients without insurance or those who desire not to use their insurance, sessions are $135/hour. Reunification Therapy and other court-appointed therapeutic services may not be covered by insurance.
