Finding a Path Forward

ABOUT ME
I grew up in North Fort Myers. After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Go Heels!), I spent years leading troubled and urban teens on wilderness trips, facilitating awe-inspiring personal change along the way. After tiring of living in a tent, I chose a Master's in Marriage and Family Counseling at Stetson University because I (actually) liked working with parents and teens together. Before joining I-BOS Counseling Center in 2014, I worked in community mental health settings helping children, teens and families in crisis, at a private school promoting optimal adjustment and academic success, and in a play-oriented private practice.
I am proud of my certification in EMDR therapy, with advanced training in working with first responders, complex trauma, dissociation, and children. I am part of the Redline Rescue database maintained by the Florida Firefighters Health and Safety Collaborative, and I can be reached immediately via local Peer-to-Peer specialists for firefighters and their families in crisis.
In 2016, I expanded my practice to family-law specialities to serve the immense demand in the Lee County area. I firmly believe that mediations are the best way to help changing families map their path forward, in a way that you have the power over decisions that will shape your life for years to come. In my evaluations, my sincerest hope is to give some guidance to parents and legal professionals facing complicated situations with domestic violence, addiction, mental illness and parental alienation.
